Strategic objectives of the project
The overarching objective of IBAS is to modernise vocational education and training (VET) by equipping learners and SMEs with practical business analytics skills, strengthening digital readiness, and fostering sustainable collaboration between VET providers and enterprises.
The project responds directly to Erasmus+ priorities in vocational education by adapting VET to labour market needs, supporting digital transformation, and contributing to innovation in vocational training systems.
GO1: Enhancing SMEs’ Digital Readiness
IBAS aims to strengthen the digital capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises by improving their ability to adopt and effectively use business analytics tools in daily operations and strategic decision-making.
The project will engage at least 20 SMEs across different sectors, ensuring broad and diverse participation. Progress will be measured through pre- and post-training digital skills assessments, as well as through tracking a targeted 20% increase in the adoption of digital analytics tools. At least half of participating SMEs are expected to report measurable improvements in digital readiness and analytics integration within their organisations.
GO2: Empowering Entrepreneurial Skills Among VET Learners
IBAS supports the development of entrepreneurial competences among vocational learners by integrating business analytics into practical, real-world training scenarios.
The project anticipates the active participation of at least 60 VET learners in structured analytics training. Through pre- and post-assessments, improvements in entrepreneurial thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving will be measured. At least 75% of learners are expected to report increased confidence in applying data-driven decision-making. The project also aims to stimulate the creation of at least 12 student-led start-ups that apply business analytics in their operational models.
GO3: Stimulating Collaborative Innovation Between VET and SMEs
A core objective of IBAS is to strengthen structured cooperation between vocational education institutions and SMEs to foster innovation through applied analytics projects.
Collaborative projects will be evaluated through stakeholder feedback from at least 10 partners and documented through a minimum of six case studies demonstrating how analytics training supports SME innovation. The project targets an 80% completion rate for collaborative SME–VET initiatives and aims for a 30% increase in the adoption of innovative solutions among participating enterprises.
GO4: Increasing the Adoption of Data Analytics in SMEs
IBAS seeks to embed business analytics practices within SME organisational structures, contributing to long-term competitiveness and digital transformation.
Surveys conducted with at least 20 SMEs will assess awareness and implementation levels of data analytics. At least 50% of participating SMEs are expected to report organisational improvements or structural changes resulting from analytics adoption.
